Welcome to God and Our Country

“Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.” These are the words of the apostle Paul (Romans 15:7), as he stressed unity between the Gentiles and the Jews. For those who may not know, Paul (Saul of Tarsus as he was known of then) was an impassioned and dedicated persecutor of the early converted Christians. Paul (Saul) was actually traveling on the road from Jerusalem to Damascus, on a mission to arrest these converted Christians and bring them back to Jerusalem for punishment, when the ascended Jesus appeared to him in a great bright light. He was struck blind, but after three days his sight was restored by Ananias of Damascus and Paul began to preach that Jesus of Nazareth was the messiah and the Son of God. Paul wrote this welcome about 57 AD, from Corinth, as he prepared for his journey to Jerusalem. Paul is telling us that, to accept Jesus’ lordship in all areas of life means to share his values and his perspective. As we grow in faith and come to know Jesus better, we will become more capable of maintaining this attitude of loving unity throughout each day.

“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.” The disciple Matthew wrote this parable in about 60 AD (Matthew 25:35) to describe the acts of mercy we can, and should do every day. A tax collector who became one of Jesus’ disciples, Matthew writes to convey that these acts do not depend on wealth, ability, or intelligence; they are simple acts freely given and freely received. This parable implores that we have no excuse to neglect those who have deep needs, and we cannot hand over this responsibility to the church nor the government. Jesus demands our personal involvement in the caring for other’s needs.

“There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” The apostle Paul wrote this in about 49 AD (Galatians 3:28) to the churches in southern Galatia. He is explaining the purpose of God’s laws and the relationship between law, God’s promises, and Jesus Christ. The earlier Jews, would pray: “Lord thank you that I am not a Gentile, a slave, or a woman.” Paul wants all to know that faith in Christ transcends these differences and makes all believers ONE in Christ. He is emphasizing to make sure we don’t impose distinctions that Christ has removed. Because all believers are the heirs of Christ, no one is more privileged than, or superior to, anyone else.

WELCOME TO GOD AND OUR COUNTRY !!!

I think the above verses best describe our business and this web site. With these both essential and prophetic words, we welcome you to God and Our Country, a division of 46:10 Ministries. Today we celebrate our first six months as a business. We formed 46:10 ministries in an effort to bring positive and thought-provoking messages to our global communities and to counter the wave of negative news and rhetoric found today, primarily within the news media, and social media as well. If you are reading this, you are likely a regular follower and for this we thank you so very much!!! If you are new to this Blog, we welcome you and invite you to the many features our God and Our Country web site provides.

We founded this website as a forum, intended to discuss open topics related to God, his son Jesus, and the founding of our country, the United States of America. This entire website, and this forum, is intended to be a politics and religion free zone. While religion and politics have played key roles in many countries and throughout history, the true message of God and Jesus is not religion based, it is God based. Thus, the literal message of the Bible, regardless of established endorsed translation, is the only message we wish to discuss and convey within this site.

In relation, the complete Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights will be the foundation of all US Government or Our Country topics and discussions. Certainly, politicians have created their own biased views, but the intent of our founders, addressed in the afore mentioned documents, is the only criteria for which we will base our discussions and opinions.

Why Religion and Politics Free? Jesus did not ever mention, support, nor endorse a religion. Nor does the US Constitution support one political view over another. The Bible and Constitution are the purest writings from God and from the US founding fathers. Religion; Catholics, Lutherans, Baptists, etc. take a biased view or stance of what followers believe the Bible to mean. Politicians; Libertarians, Republicans, Democrats, No-Nothings, Federalists, etc. take a biased view of what our founding documents say and mean. We at this site choose to take the pure true meaning of God's word, and the word of our founding fathers. We do not wish to support nor endorse any religious or political view.

We offer additional resources on this site, all true to God and Our Country.
